Growing up at Slipknot, Eliza watched Mimzie find treasures in the unexpected. Mimzie instilled that same eye for finding beauty in everything around. There are bits and pieces of treasures in the gardens Eliza has cultivated at Slipknot throughout the years.
She surrounds a patch of perennials with a vintage cast off piece of wrought iron fence. Within lies Daffodil bulbs and as their blooms fade the Bleeding Hearts quickly take their place, holding your attention until the Peonies begin to open and take the stage.
On the backside is a worn out wicker chair no longer safe to sit in, holding a painted clay pot waiting to reveal a blooming vine that will take over the area for the summer after the Peonies are spent.
Gardens are ever evolving, and so are the treasures that grace them.
Always keep your eyes searching for the unexpected!
